Since 1991, Complexo Hospitalar de Niterói [Niterói Hospital Complex] (CHN), previously called Hospital de Clinicas de Niterói, located in downtown Niterói, stands out for its safety and excellence in highly complex medicine, constant investment in medical technology and quality in the care of patients. It currently focuses on five major reference centers: Transplantation, Cardiovascular Medicine, Oncology, Neurology and Maternal and Child Care.

Considered the largest health conglomerate in the state of Rio de Janeiro, with approximately 42 thousand square meters, more than 336 beds and and the only hospital heliport in the east-north region of Rio de Janeiro, CHN has renowned specialists, a qualified multidisciplinary team with periodic training program, modern structure and state-of-the-art technology park, constantly investing in the improvement of its internal processes.

In the care context throughout its history, CHN has always advocated for safety and quality. The safety and quality care protocols adopted at CNH were recognized by renowned institutions, such as the National Accreditation Organization (ONA), which in 2012 granted the Accreditation in Excellence in Management. In 2017, Accreditation Canada International (ACI) accredited the hospital to the QMENTUM Global Program – being the only hospital in the region with these certificates. The following year, CNH Emergency Complex was the first in Latin America to receive the title of Award in Emergency Services by the IQG Institute – Health Services Accreditation.

CHN is also part of the National Association of Private Hospitals (ANAHP) and, in 2018, received the “100 Most Influential Health” , award in the “Quality and Safety”, category, granted by Grupo Mídia. These care differentials, associated with human capital, with its nearly 2,000 employees, form the triad of CHN's excellent service: humanization, technology and specialization
